Half Day Programme
Main Attractions:
Exploring River Indus which is famous because of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization.
- Travel on traditional Fishermen's (noise free) boats whose design resemble those of Alexander the Great.
- Viewing the unique specie of Indus Blind Dolphins, which only occur in River Indus.
- Bird watching along one of the world most famous birds migration route commonly known as "Indus Fly Way" or "The Green Route".
- Viewing the traditional rural life of the peasants of Southern Punjab.
- Viewing the lifestyle of Fishermen community meeting with reed-basket weavers and shopping at village and nomad settlements.
- Learning about the world largest irrigation network of River Indus and its tributaries.
- Opportunity to take of good photographs of people and places.

Programme for 2 to 3 hours Boat Safari:
Arrival at Taunsa Barrage. Free time for picnic at Barrage. Briefing by Project Liaison Officer. Transfer of boats and start boat safari. Look for dolphins and migratory birds while floating downstream from Taunsa Barrage. End of boat safari at Watoo Wala after covering a distance of about 10 km at a pace of 5 km per hour. Transfer on vehicle and return to your home destination.
Per Head Cost:
Rs. 80/- per head based on a group size of 15 persons on one boat. We have capacity to send 30 persons at a time on two boats.
What to bring:
Water bottle, Snack/Lunch Pack, Hat or P-Cap, Warm jacket, Sunglasses, Camera with film.
